Featuring Stacy Russo
Stacy Russo is a Santa Ana, California, writer, poet, visual artist, DIY oral historian, coffee drinker, and dog lover who is committed to creating art and books for a more peaceful world. She serves the community as an English Professor at Santa Ana College after a long career as a librarian. She grew up in the punk rock scene of the 1980s, which she credits for her political awakening. Stacy is the author of several nonfiction books, the editor of essay collections, a published poet, and the author/illustrator of two children’s picture books. Her books include We Were Going to Change the World: Interviews with Women from the 1970s & 1980s Southern California Punk Rock Scene (Santa Monica Press); BEYOND 70: The Lives of Creative Women (Nauset Press); and Love Activism (Litwin Books).
